Can the water tank achieve automatic start and stop of the pump through liquid level control using only one AC contact sensor ?Time:2026-06-12
Today, we came across a customer from Cambodia who inquired about a micro stainless steel water pump with a flow rate of 2.5 m³/hr and a pressurization pressure of 2-3 bar.
In the Chinese water pump market, ATACH has a unique advantage in this field of miniature water pumps. We recommended our CHL2-50 to the customer, and then confirmed with the customer that a float level switch should be installed in the water tank, and an AC contact sensor should be added to the circuit. In this way, the float and the contactor control the opening and closing of the circuit to achieve the start and stop of the water pump. There is no need for manual operation to turn on and off the water pump, thus saving a lot of manpower and material resources. • When the water level is low: The float drops, the internal contacts of the switch close, the contactor coil is energized and attracted, the main contacts are connected, the water pump starts and supplies water to the water tank. • When the water level is high: The float rises, the internal contacts of the switch open, the contactor coil loses power and releases, the main contacts are disconnected, the water pump stops running. • After the water level drops, the float drops again, and the above process repeats, achieving automatic start and stop. However, it is important to note that this float switch must be of high quality. Many of the ones available on the market are of poor quality and have very low control sensitivity. This can lead to water overflowing from the tank or the pump continuing to run when there is no water, resulting in the burning out of the mechanical seal of the pump. |
