Generally speaking, the contact material of the pumps used for seawater desalination needs to be super duplex steel 2205 

or 2507. 

However, many customers will consider the overall cost-effectiveness of the pump when using it, 

and they may also choose stainless steel 316 or 316L. From the perspective of the pump manufacturer, 

this is completely acceptable. Because each customer's initial investment is different, 

and the working hours of the pump each day and each year are also not the same. 

However, if one solely focuses on keeping the price low and opts for cast iron or stainless steel 304, 

then ATACH would not be recommended.

As for the key shaft sealing components of the pump, 

we usually take into account the formation of crystal particles in seawater, 

so we recommend using 316 material for the springs - SSIC - tungsten carbide - Da Jin fluororubber.
